Korean Exercise 8

The following sentences should be translated into Korean. They are intended to practise suggestions and also how to say 'but'.

Let's speak in Chinese.

chunggukmal-lo malhapshida.

중국말로 말합사다

Let's go to the department store.

paekhwachŏm-e kapshida.

백화점에 갑시다

Let's drink some beer or wine.

maekju na wain mashipshida.

맥주 나 와인 마십시다

I want to go to America, but I can't.

Miguk-e kago ship-jiman, mot kayo.

미국에 가고 십지만, 몯 가요

I like whisky but I can't drink it.

wishiki cho-ch'iman, mot mashyŏyo.

위시키 좋치만, 몯 마시어요

I want to telephone Mr Kim, but I misdialled.

Kim sŏnsaengnim-hant'e chŏnhwa hago ship-jiman , chalmot kŏrŏssŏyo.

김선생님 한테 전화 하고 십지만, 잘몯 거렀어요
